Support Our Own Athletes We celebrate the efforts
of our college’s amateur and budding athletes by providing a platform for
them to share what they love about their sport, how they train and their
achievements in various competitions during our morning assembly at the My

The OEP is meant to ·
build awareness of Olympism ·
promote the Olympic spirit of respect, friendship and
excellence ·
encourage youth to embrace and express the Olympic values ·
stimulate interest among youth on Sports and Societal Issues
and Challenges ·
be a catalyst for youth involvement in sports The OEP was introduced
to the students and staff during the two separate assemblies for both levels
in 2009. It was also uploaded into our college’s Learning Management System
(LMS) so that they can assess it wherever and whenever they like. In 2010, the OEP
add-ons and videos from the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising
Committee (SYOGOC) continued to be shown to all our students. YOG Exposure Day @
JC1 Camp On the last day of
JC1 Camp, the whole JC1 cohort was introduced to six YOG sports that are not
offered in our college as a CCA namely Archery, Fencing, Handball, Judo and
Taewondo and Wrestling. Our students really
enjoyed their experience with these six ‘exotic’ sports J judging from the photos below: |
