officially adopted on 1 August 1919. Red & white have
long been associated with Poland and its coat of arms. White is said to
represent the hope for peace by all the Polish people while red is the
symbolic reference to its socialist past. |

Old City of Zamosc Inscribed on the
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)
World Heritage List in 1992. Zamosc was founded in the 16th
century by the chancellor, Jan Zamoysky. Built according to Italian theories
of the ‘ideal city’, Zamosc is a perfect example of a late 16th
